Will I lose my soul in this garden?
Disrobe me and my knowledge of good.
These forbidden feelings will they last forever?
Will our love ever be understood?
Is the knowledge of good and evil the curse of mankind? Of course drawing from the story of our creation, this song describes how despite what we may be feeling at any given time, each and every decision we make has a real consequence. Sometimes long lasting feelings of guilt and despair imprison us forever. Temptation is strong.....Will you lose your soul in this garden?
Bills Note: So this is one of the first original songs we started doing at gigs. We originally just wanted to do a few gigs here and there at restaurants and stuff and we basically did all covers until I came up with this song. Truthfully you wouldn't even recognize the original version....it has come so far! We recorded the early version and I just could not get it right. I mixed it, I re-mixed it, I re-re-mixed, I re-arranged it ... and finally I threw it away in despair.....
Years later along comes SpeedMike....I hear his guitar sound... his melodic style ...and well inspiration strikes! Here it is.

Plastic Smile
* 1st Place - Songwriter's in the Kitchen - Second Inspirational Input Competition 2017
Sometimes we romanticize the past more than we should. Is your smile made of plastic? Are you just pretending to be happy?
Would you be willing to give up what you once thought was wonderful so that you may have a fresh start? Maybe that artificial paradise just needs to be covered up so that you may move on.

Lyrics:
Verse:
When we were young we thought we had it all:
Paradise in Spring, Summer and Fall.
Then real life came and knocked upon our door.
Chorus:
I’ll pave paradise for you. You know I would
give up everything we thought was good.
I’ll build a parking lot for you: shiny and new,
paving over all that we’ve been through.
Just to hold your hand again ( If I can)
I’d give up what was paradise back then.
Verse:
When we we’re cool we hung out on the stairs ( of the café)
listening to street musicians play.
Now I have too many cares. ( for the stairs)
I put on a plastic smile for you:
a mannequin with a plastic smile for you.
Chorus:
I’ll pave paradise for you. You know I would
give up everything we thought was good.
I’ll build a parking lot for you: shiny and new,
paving over all that we’ve been through.
Just to hold your hand again ( If I can)
I’d give up what was paradise back then.
I’d give up what was paradise back then.
Bridge:
Underground encapsulate the roots,
more valuable than flowers.
Singing from a cave of stone
It echoed like a bell.
Now a plastic smile, oh well. ……I’ll
Chorus Variation:
Put on a plastic smile for you. You know I would
just pretend that everything is good. ……Amusement
park’s shut down; café is closed. We had our fun.
Being cool and hanging out is done.
Could I hold your hand once more?
Could I hold your hand once more?
Just to hold your hand again ( If I can)
I’ll give up what was paradise back then.
I’ll give up what was paradise back then.
Chorus Outro:
I’ll pave paradise for you. You know I would
give up everything we thought was good.
I’ll build a parking lot for you: shiny and new,
paving over all that we’ve been through.
Just to hold your hand again ( If I can)
I’d give up what was paradise back then.
I’d give up what was paradise back then.
I’d give up what was paradise back then.

"Exactly Like You" - November Sound
I tried to be different but it just wasn't true.
I tried to be my own person but I became you.
This song explores the possibility that someone from your family was not a good influence on you. Maybe your past, your experiences and your memories from them are just not good. Maybe you said, "I will never be like that!" And, you tried to be different......you really tried.......
This song features synth lead played on EWI by Bill.
Music & Lyrics: Bill
Vocals: Melissa
Drums: Will
Piano, Keyboards, EWI: Bill
Lyrics:
You disowned me but still I’m right back here.
The past it haunts but I keep in check my fear.
You don’t know me. No, you never did.
The curse of the family finds this forlorn kid.
I tried to be different but it just wasn’t true.
I tried to be my own person but I became you.
I tried to be somebody else.
I tried to be somebody new.
I tried to be somebody else …… but I turned out exactly like you.
