Sanskrit Shlokas, Mantras, Devotional, Spiritual, World, Ethnic, Meditation
Song - Om Namah Shivaya Chanting Vocals, Guitars, Programming and Music Direction - Sahil Jagtiani Flute - Sandeep Vasishta Recording Engineer - Satish Studio - Parekh Recording Studio, Bangalore ----------------------------- “The sound of ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ includes all the five elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. Hinduism is not a religion as such. People have been chanting this for thousands of years. Mantras are those sounds which you hear from deep within during meditation and the aim is to bring one back to the source. During later days, people started putting faces and drawings to these mantras. Mantras have got certain vibrations/ energy. They are universal. Even in churches in Latin America ‘Marnah Nath’ is used. Its translation in Latin and Sanskrit is so close. For ‘Lord’ the word in Latin is Nath and also in Sanskrit the word Nath is used to mean ‘Lord’. So the word Marnah Nath meaning ‘My lord’ which is used in Christianity is actually a Sanskrit word. Chanting in Sanskrit is beneficial because Sanskrit is the oldest language known to mankind. It has a deep impact on the consciousness.” His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji The benefits of devoutly chanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ range from alleviation from emotional and physical distress and more importantly finding true inner peace. Repetition of a lover’s name comes naturally to us and so in the same light taking the Lord’s name brings about that completeness within. ----------------------------- This chant has been rendered by Sahil Jagtiani who has been involved in Western music from his teenage years. He has played in two progressive and multi-cultural soft rock bands from Hong Kong and London during his high school and college days. When he met H. H. Poojya Sri Sri Ravishankarji, he knew that he had found his Guru & Mentor. Guruji’s breathing techniques made such a positive impact on Sahil that he decided to devote his entire life to spreading Guruji’s message of love and peace, and he became a Full Time teacher with the Art of Living Foundation. The Rig Veda declares that "Surya is the Soul, both of the moving and unmoving beings". The Sun Salutation originated as a series of prostrations to the sun. Traditionally, it is performed at dawn, facing the rising sun. In time, each of the twelve positions came to have its own mantra, celebrating aspects of the sun's divinity. In this video an assigned mantra for each position has been sung. ----------------------------- This chant has been rendered by Sahil Jagtiani who has been involved in Western music from his teenage years. Track - Mahamrityunjaya Mantra (108 Chants) Artist - Sahil Jagtiani Sung, Programmed, Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by Sahil Jagtiani @SSJ Productions, Bangalore, INDIA ----------------------------- Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is one among the finest Mantra's in Indian Mythology and Spirituality belongs to Lord Shiva. It is a combination of three hindi language words i.e. "Maha" which means Great , "Mrityun" means Death and "Jaya" means Victory which turns into Conquer or victory over death. It is also known as "Rudra Mantra" or "Trayambakam Mantra". Rudra refers to Lord Shiva. Meaning: Tryambakam - One who has three eyes. Lord Shiva is the only one who have it. Yajamahe - One who is prayed or worshiped. Sugandhim - Good Smell. Pushti - Prosperous, Fulfilled. Vardhanam - One who makes happy, prosperous, gives peace of mind and takes care about you. Urvarukamiva - Like it or no one else. Bandhanan - Associated or bonding. Mrityor - From Death. Mukshiya - Free us or send us heaven. Ma: Not Amritat: Immortal. Origin: The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra was found by Rishi Markandeya. It was a secret mantra, and Rishi Markandeya was the only one in the world who knew this mantra. The Moon was once in trouble, cursed by King Daksha. Rishi Markandeya gave the Mahamritryunjaya Mantra to Sati, Daksha's daughter, for the Moon. This is how this mantra became known which according to another version is the Bija mantra as revealed to Rishi Kahola that was given by Lord Shiva to sage Sukracharya who taught it to Rishi Dadicha who gave it to King Kshuva through whom it reached the Shiva Purana. It is also called the Rudra mantra, referring to the furious aspect of Lord Shiva; the Tryambakam mantra, alluding to Shiva's three eyes; and it is sometimes known as the Mrita-Sanjivini mantra because it is a component of the "life-restoring" practice given to the primordial sage Sukracharya after he had completed an exhausting period of austerity. Its Devata is Rudra or Lord Shiva in his fiercest and most destructive roopa or aspect. Significance: Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is the great mantra for conquering death for it protects against all threats and at the time of death eases the process of release. It is one of the more potent of the ancient mantras, a call for enlightenment and a practice of purifying the karmas of the soul at a deep level. It is beneficial for mental, emotional and physical health. It is also a moksha mantra which bestows longevity and immortality. The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra creates a very powerful protective shield of divine vibrations that wards off and protects us from negativities and evil forces. ----------------------------- This mantra has been recited 108 times by Sahil Jagtiani who has been involved in Western music from his teenage years. Song - Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaya (108 Chants) Artist - Sahil Jagtiani Sung, Programmed, Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by Sahil Jagtiani @SSJ Productions, Bangalore, INDIA Swarmandal - Kumar ----------------------------- Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya is a Hindu mantra of Vishnu and Krishna both. It has two traditions—Tantric and Puranic. In Tantrik Tradition, the Rishi of the Mantra is Prajapati, in Puranic Tradition the Rishi is Narada. Both, however, say it is the Supreme Vishnu Mantra. Sharada Tilak Tantram, for example, says "Dvadasharno mahamantrah pradhano Vaishnavagame"—the twelve lettered mantra is the chief among vaishnava mantras. Similarly, this is the ultimate mantra in Shrimad Bhagavatam, whose 12 Chapters are taken as extensions of the 12 Letters of this Mantra. This twelve syllable mantra is known as a Mukti (liberation) mantra and a spiritual formula for attaining freedom. This can be chanted like Gayatri Mantra. This is the principal mantra of the Vedic scripture "Srimad Bhagavatam". This mantra can also be found in Vishnu Purana. ----------------------------- This chant has been rendered 108 times by Sahil Jagtiani who has been involved in Western music from his teenage years. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna had proclaimed to Arjuna - "Among all the mantras, I am the Gayatri". In this album Sahil Jagtiani has repeated this mantra 108 chants and creates a serene atmosphere.
