I surround myself with music when there's nothing left. Nothing left to ponder but the feeling that I'm huffing breath. Sometimes you just get tired. Sometimes, life isn't as fulfilling as it's been, leaving you tired. Tired of chasing things that have stopped running. Or were never running in the first place. This song is about needing sleep. Hope you enjoy! Produced by Kazmega Engineered by Kryple & Sonik Written and performed by Trippz

My response to unhelpful criticism. Some people want to tarnish your character by holding irrelevant judgement of something unrelated to what you are doing. Formulating opinions about you based off rumor, track record, or pure jealousy. If you don't want to be around, kindly leave my life, feel free to blatantly hate from afar. Enjoy! When life gets you down, I bet you aren't aware that you are looking at the ground. I mean physically, your head is cocked forward, your eyes are low, your face droops. Which can cause tension headaches and an even greater sense of emotional displacement. I suffer from chronic depression. One day, when I was contemplating life as I surveyed the sidewalk on my routine walk to the bus stop, I decided, despite my feelings of hopelessness, and lethargy, I was sick of being a victim of my own emotions. I decided that even if I'm chemically sad, I had to find a way to cope with life and find light among the dark. In that moment i chose to pick my head up. Observe the world for a moment. I immediately noticed that as soon as I picked my head up, opened my eyes, and raised my eyebrows, I felt lighter. Lighter in the face, lighter in the body, even emotionally. Something about opening my eyes and relaxing my scrunched up angry face, allowed me to allow some spiritual free-flow in and out of my conciseness, and process some of my thoughts. Instantaneously, I found myself less irritated with the common daily microscopic events that would've otherwise rendered me feeling incapable of coping with life. Powerful stuff. My advice to you if you are sad or stressed: Provided you aren't in traffic or operating heavy machinery, stop what you are doing. and physically shake it off. relax your muscles, un-scrunch your face, and point your eyes up, and just take a big slow breath. See if you notice even the slightest shift in your emotions. I know it's easier said than done when in the pits. But I feel that that's the biggest battle, allowing yourself to feel lighter when you're heavy. The deciding to change part is up to you. Good luck Hopefully this one day inspires someone to relax a bit. Enjoy! Produced by Sonik Hip-Hop http://www.sonikhiphop.com Written and performed by Trippz http://www.ds4l.ca Enjoy

Zombie culture fascinates me! shortly after anything zombie related experienced or mentioned, most people dive into the hypothetical conversation of "if it ever went down, what would you do? Who would you bring with you? What would your plan be?" So! WHAT WOULD YOUR PLAN BE?!?!?! Hit me back in the comments, I wanna know what everybody's zombie plan is. Don't Lie!!! I would immediately head for the outskirts of town where i have some friends with decent sized property. and guns..... need lots of guns. However, i don't think we as Canadians would struggle too hard as we've got a massive land mass with so much untouched area and all the space. only thing is if the water sources are affected, but we'll purify it slowly. We'd only be dealing with swarms of zombies that move quickly in the short summer months. after that, we'd all head back to the cities and play zombie hockey in the streets cause they wont be as nimble in these harsh Canadian winters. On the same album, I grew from wanting to be a club star, to wanting nothing to do with clubs, but, since having to go a lot for performances, I had to compromise. Life, however is full of compromises for me, which is cool. It allows me to feel more connected. This song is about starting at the club, then moving elsewhere. So grab a date, grab a cab, and head to the after party! Enjoy! Produced by Sonik Hip-Hop http://www.sonikhiphop.com Written and performed by Trippz http://www.ds4l.ca

This is the oldest song on the album. I was 17, and very broke. I learned quickly what it was to be a broke artist. spending most of your life balancing the bare minimum requirement of income to pay for.... whatever a 17 year old needs, and studio time, and the absolute rest of your time making music and partying. It was never about the money. It was about the lifestyle. But I was ALWAYS BROKE! Sonik and Big Chayne (Boombox Diciples) were big influences in my young rap-eagar life. Being incredibly talented, and although several years older than me, just as poor as I was, which was encouraging because they were also happy with making music. So here's 17 year old trippz satirically expressing the life of the voluntary poor. And 27 year old trippz laughing that it's 10 years later and although i'm significantly more skilled, well known, and convinced I've found a career, I'm still not wealthy. But this has been a wonderful 10,000 hours, and I do feel prepared to pursue music indefinitely. I don't need to be a member of the nauseatingly wealthy. But I will stay afloat from making music, and although I am not there yet, everyday of struggle is worth always living my dream. Enjoy! My first anthem! Featuring Doom Squad! So many events have occurred since the making of this project, so it's hard to think back to where I was at in my process, but I know I was excited. I felt like a big deal. I would go rap for people in the street and they told me I didn't suck! That was huge for anyone in my town. This album, for me, represents the feeling I had making something I loved. Because of the way I felt making, and releasing this project, I will always make sure I can make music my entire life! So grab your loved ones, sit down and bun one, but tell all your folks Edmonton's where I come from! I rep hard in my city! Enjoy! This game is still confusing. It STILL makes my head spin! I wouldn't trade it for the world though. This was how I processed my first real experiences of music industry conflict. Some people didn't believe in us. Some people wished for our failure. If I would've died somehow before ever making a dime doing music, I'd still never think it as failure. Because I got to make music my entire life! Hope you enjoy Produced by Sonik Hip-Hop http://www.sonikhiphop.com Written and performed by Trippz http://www.ds4l.ca/trippz

This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. I was angry at the state of urban music, and the fact that radio djs call it all hip-hop. I didnt think it was fair. I felt I was out for blood. As I said, I grew up making this album and don't necessarily feel as strongly about shit that doesn't effect me. Rufus Reginald, an English gentleman, kicks off this story during his rendition of Masterpiece Theatre. There is too much angst. Not enough outlets. I often found it hard to connect. The making of this debut album was a 4 year process. You can literally hearing me grow up to a certain extent. Please enjoy as I share with you, the most important thing to me during my journey. My Words.
