Krucipha [kru.SI.fa] is a visceral groove thrash metal band from Curitiba, Brazil founded in 2010 and is currently formed by singer/guitarist Fabiano Guolo, lead guitarist Luis Ferraz, drummer Felipe Nester, bass player Khaoe Rocha and percussionist Nicholas Pedroso. The band mixes influences from death metal, groove and NY hardcore with a distinct Brazilian flair that makes mentions to Chico Science and Nação Zumbi. Its signature sound is a cleverly orchestrated cacophony, mixing odd meter beats, typical Brazilian percussion (“alfaia” and other typical drums), improvised instruments and menacing guitar riffs producing entrancing sonic experiences unlike any other in the Latin American metal scene.
The band released its debut album “Hindsight Square One” in 2014. Comprised of 5 original tracks and the 3 remastered tracks from the “Preemtive Uproars” EP. The album talks about the dilemas and paradoxes of modern life, inner conflicts, mass manipulation and conflict in society as a whole.
Krucipha's new album "Inhuman Nature" is finally out, after nearly two years of production! With 9 relentless tracks, the band goes further instrumentally, experimenting with even lower tuning and varied tempos. Lyrically, the album deals with the many aspects that make mankind turn against itself, the core of our “inhuman nature” and behaviour. It will please fans of Gojira, Whitechapel, Slayer and "Chaos A.D." era Sepultura... and many others looking for heavy, yet forward-thinking music!
