Richter's Prelude and Fuge in E major is a lyrical work. The prelude is build on a subtle play between two slightly differently registered manuals. The fugue theme gives rise to a piece with long flowing lines, that gradually builds up to a long held chord. After that the piece ends with just a few subdued bars.
The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sampleset, made by Voxus, of the Stahlhuth/Jahn organ in the St. Martin’s church, Dudelange (https://www.voxusorgans.com/en/product/dudelange).
