Preforming on stage since the age of 11, Ras Akal has played drum rhythms from Gospel, R&B, Rock, Hip Hop, to Reggae. His undeniable talent and skill on the drums has kept his sound fresh and original. His 20 year musical career has allowed him opportunities to perform at numerous venues across the United States, the Hawaiian Islands, and throughout all of California. Over the years he also developed his voice to be a skilled lead vocalist. Ras Akal’s music expresses his voice of struggle and passion to his audience while promoting positivity and intellectual vibrations.Being proficient in martial arts he has become more knowledgeable, advanced, and precise with his percussion techniques. Having studied various cultures his mind , body and spirit are one. His experiences are reflected in his sound and universal approach toward music.
