Peace On The Morning (live) In January 2016 Ezra Vancil went back to one of the very first clubs he started his music career in, which had been converted into a pure analog studio and living situation for the engineer. He brought in fans by invite only and had one of the most magical nights of his career, which was all luckily captured to Analog Tape and released as the live album Live From The Deep. He invited fans and friends to set in center stage and lead the audience in many of the songs. I’ve been hungry for forgiveness, I think So I bought me a cross counted the world lost and poured me a drink And I’ve been lonely sometimes I had to get somebody fast cause I knew any day I’d go down to the ocean and drown in my lonely past But the peace comes on the morning when I really don’t know what to do So I lay down beside me, all that might guide me and that’s when I follow you I was ruined sometimes I think by religion cause I hid in that church, and I didn’t want to search for my own decisions and I’ve been fighting for way too long with my country but I worry about my son that they’ll give him a gun say hey boy, why don’t you go fight for this, them or for me But the peace comes on the morning when I don’t think I know what is true I lay down beside me, all that might guide me and that’s when I follow you NANANA I’ve been running from illusions that they broadcast all day try to scare me away from my own conclusions and I get so tired, I must admit of this forgiveness but you could steal it all today and I’ll still give it all away that’s my decision and the peace comes on the morning when I got nothing left to prove (really don’t know what to do) I lay down beside me, all that might guide me and that’s when I follow you
