Gayatri Mantra (108 Chants) Song - Gayatri Mantra (108 Chants) Artist - Sahil Jagtiani Sung, Programmed, Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by Sahil Jagtiani @SSJ Productions, Bangalore, INDIA ----------------------------- The Vedas are widely considered to be the source of all true knowledge, the word "Veda" itself meaning "Knowledge". Gayatri Devi also gave to mankind the "Gayatri Mantra", also known as the "Guru Mantra" or the "Savitri Mantra". It is one of the oldest mantras, and generally thought of as being amongst the highest and most powerful mantras of all. This mantra is therefore often referred to as "the Mother of the Vedas". In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna had proclaimed to Arjuna - "Among all the mantras, I am the Gayatri". In this album Sahil Jagtiani has repeated this mantra 108 chants and creates a serene atmosphere. One can chant along and experience deep bliss in meditation after this. ----------------------------- Lyrics Sanskrit: ॐ भूर्भुवः स्वः तत्स॑वि॒तुर्वरेण्यं॒ भर्गो॑ दे॒वस्य॑धीमहि धियो॒ यो नः॑ प्रचो॒दया॑त् English: oṃ bhūrbhuvaḥ svaḥ tatsaviturvareṇyaṃ bhargodevasya dhīmahi dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt ----------------------------- This chant has been rendered 108 times by Sahil Jagtiani who has been involved in Western music from his teenage years. He has played in two progressive and multi-cultural soft rock bands from Hong Kong and London during his high school and college days. When he met H. H. Poojya Sri Sri Ravishankarji, he knew that he had found his Guru & Mentor. Guruji’s breathing techniques made such a positive impact on Sahil that he decided to devote his entire life to spreading Guruji’s message of love and peace, and he became a Full Time teacher with the Art of Living Foundation. Sahil has done satsangs all over India and in aid of charities such as “Cancer Kids” and participated in festivals such as “The Kala Ghodha Festival” in Mumbai. He has played at an Indian Embassy supported event in the “Mir” Hall in Moscow, Russia and has performed the theme song Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam during the Silver Jubilee Celebrations 2006 at Jakur Airfield in Bangalore in front of almost 2 million people. Sahil Jagtiani’s music, as well as being very popular within the Art of Living, has reached both spiritual and non-spiritual audiences worldwide and has given bhajans a universal appeal. ----------------------------- For more on Sahil Jagtiani & his music visit: http://www.sahiljagtiani.com http://www.facebook.com/sahiljagtiani http://www.twitter.com/sahiljagtiani http://www.youtube.com/sahiljagtiani http://www.sahiljagtiani.bandcamp.com http://www.instagram.com/sahiljagtiani ----------------------------- To know more about SSJ Productions visit: http://www.ssjproductions.com https://ssjproductions.bandcamp.com http://www.facebook.com/ssjproduction... http://www.twitter.com/ssjproductions http://www.youtube.com/ssjproductions http://www.ssjproductions.bandcamp.com ----------------------------- Music & Content Copyright © 2017 Sahil Suraj Jagtiani & ℗ 2017 SSJ Productions.
