The Cold Winds of Sorrow - LANDR Remastered Welcome back, graveyard dwellers! I have something for you! This is the seventh out of eight tracks, from the 2017 album, "In Mourning", to be exposed to the transformative power of LANDR. I am quite fond of this one, as it was one of my most ambitious projects. I wanted it to have a raw industrial sound, while still being very melodically driven. So I started by creating a noisy rythmic section with the sequencer, then built the melody on top. As I wanted the track to have some kind of a trance element, I repeat the sequencer pattern throughout. Since I also wanted to illustrate the dichotomy of sorrow, I opted to blend in heavier electric guitar and bass parts, along with gentler, more delicate flute, hence capturing the violence and fragility at once. In order to give every instrument its proper place in the ensemble, I decided to compose a different partition for each, the complementary parts ending up blending together seamlessly. I am very happy with the result, and the LANDR mix brings out the intricacies of its textures even more. Therefore, I proudly give you, The Cold Winds of Sorrow!
