Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaya (108 Chants) Song - Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaya (108 Chants) Artist - Sahil Jagtiani Sung, Programmed, Recorded, Mixed and Mastered by Sahil Jagtiani @SSJ Productions, Bangalore, INDIA Swarmandal - Kumar ----------------------------- Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya is a Hindu mantra of Vishnu and Krishna both. It has two traditions—Tantric and Puranic. In Tantrik Tradition, the Rishi of the Mantra is Prajapati, in Puranic Tradition the Rishi is Narada. Both, however, say it is the Supreme Vishnu Mantra. Sharada Tilak Tantram, for example, says "Dvadasharno mahamantrah pradhano Vaishnavagame"—the twelve lettered mantra is the chief among vaishnava mantras. Similarly, this is the ultimate mantra in Shrimad Bhagavatam, whose 12 Chapters are taken as extensions of the 12 Letters of this Mantra. This twelve syllable mantra is known as a Mukti (liberation) mantra and a spiritual formula for attaining freedom. This can be chanted like Gayatri Mantra. This is the principal mantra of the Vedic scripture "Srimad Bhagavatam". This mantra can also be found in Vishnu Purana. ----------------------------- This chant has been rendered 108 times by Sahil Jagtiani who has been involved in Western music from his teenage years. He has played in two progressive and multi-cultural soft rock bands from Hong Kong and London during his high school and college days. When he met H. H. Poojya Sri Sri Ravishankarji, he knew that he had found his Guru & Mentor. Guruji’s breathing techniques made such a positive impact on Sahil that he decided to devote his entire life to spreading Guruji’s message of love and peace, and he became a Full Time teacher with the Art of Living Foundation. Sahil has done satsangs all over India and in aid of charities such as “Cancer Kids” and participated in festivals such as “The Kala Ghodha Festival” in Mumbai. He has played at an Indian Embassy supported event in the “Mir” Hall in Moscow, Russia and has performed the theme song Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam during the Silver Jubilee Celebrations 2006 at Jakur Airfield in Bangalore in front of almost 2 million people. Sahil Jagtiani’s music, as well as being very popular within the Art of Living, has reached both spiritual and non-spiritual audiences worldwide and has given bhajans a universal appeal. ----------------------------- For more on Sahil Jagtiani & his music visit: http://www.sahiljagtiani.com http://www.facebook.com/sahiljagtiani http://www.twitter.com/sahiljagtiani http://www.youtube.com/sahiljagtiani http://www.sahiljagtiani.bandcamp.com http://www.instagram.com/sahiljagtiani ----------------------------- To know more about SSJ Productions visit: http://www.ssjproductions.com https://ssjproductions.bandcamp.com http://www.facebook.com/ssjproduction... http://www.twitter.com/ssjproductions http://www.youtube.com/ssjproductions http://www.ssjproductions.bandcamp.com ----------------------------- Music & Content Copyright © 2018 Sahil Suraj Jagtiani & ℗ 2018 SSJ Productions.
